What the light means
The check engine light comes on when your car's computer detects a problem, from something as simple as a loose gas cap to a failing sensor or an ignition issue. The warning alone does not tell you which. A diagnostic scan reads the stored codes and points us toward the cause.
How we diagnose
We scan the system and diagnose the cause of the warning light. We work on all makes and models.
Mercedes-Benz check engine light and warning lights. We diagnose check engine lights on Mercedes-Benz vehicles. See our Mercedes-Benz repair page.
Come in sooner if
- The check engine light is flashing, which can mean an active misfire
- The car runs rough, stalls or hesitates
- Fuel economy has dropped noticeably
- You notice unusual smells, smoke or noises
- Other warning lights come on with the check engine light
A steady light is less urgent than a flashing one, but it is still worth checking. Call (954) 454-6020 or visit us Monday through Thursday, 8 AM to 5 PM, and Friday, 8 AM to 4:30 PM.
