Toyota maintenance: what to know
Toyota publishes a maintenance schedule for each model, and the intervals differ by model, engine and year, so use the one in your owner's manual or maintenance guide. Many recent Toyotas call for synthetic oil of a specific low viscosity, and many Toyota automatics specify a particular transmission fluid, so the right product matters as much as the schedule.
Many newer Toyotas use Toyota's pink Super Long Life coolant, and older ones used red, but color alone isn't a reliable guide, so use the type your owner's manual specifies.

Tacoma and Tundra owners who haul or tow put extra load on tires, brakes and suspension, so those are worth checking more often. We service hybrids, including the Prius.
